J Movie Club – One Step to Freedom

One Step to Freedom centers on the story of Paul Grüninger, the St. Gallen police commander who put not only his career, but also his life, on the line by disregarding orders and allowing all Jews to enter Switzerland, most of them under the cover of night and in danger of being shot by Austrian border guards.

Come to the J once a month to watch gripping and powerful films all with a Jewish theme. Following each screening, stay for a discussion about the film. Snacks will be served. Some months excluded – 8 films in all. Movies subject to change
