NEW Program / Learning Opportunity at TKA

Dear 60+ ers:

Don’t miss this important presentation and conversation on the future of water in Phoenix with Max Wilson, Water Conservation Coordinator at the City of Phoenix.

Residents of Central Arizona have always had to manage water scarcity to thrive. However, rising temperatures are forcing communities in Arizona and throughout the Desert Southwest to confront a new normal with less water, directly threatening the water supplies of 40 million people and some of the most productive agricultural lands on Earth.

Please join Dr. Max Wilson, Water Conservation Coordinator at the City of Phoenix, for a conversation about water.  There he will briefly describe the state of the Colorado River, why this drought is different than previous droughts, actions the City of Phoenix has taken to ensure supply reliability, and the specific actions you can take to help our community by conserving water in your home. He will also be available to answer your questions

Brief Bio: Dr. Maxwell Wilson is the Water Conservation Coordinator at the City of Phoenix. In this role he oversees all of the City’s water conservation programming. Prior to coming to the City Dr. Wilson worked for more than a decade at the intersection of biology and hydrology both inside and outside of academia; developing a large suite of water saving programs while also publishing a suite of seminal papers in the field.
