Join BeWell and Jewish Federations of North America for the September Resiliency Roundtable.
Youth Suicide Prevention: Save a Life, Save a Whole World
The September Resiliency Roundtable is dedicated to honoring Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month by proactively spotlighting resources to prevent tragedy, educate, and reduce stigma. National research shows that suicide is one of the leading causes of death for adolescents, but there’s hope – the same research tells us that communities have a role in preventing youth suicide.
The High Holidays remind us each year to return. This September, we are returning to this topic to elevate its importance at the top of the school year. Together, we’ll begin the Jewish year with the wisdom and foresight of effective prevention and intervention models to save young lives in our communities.
If you or someone you know is in a mental health crisis, call or text 988 to reach a trained counselor within the lifeline network. This communication is confidential and free.
What is the Resiliency Roundtable?
The Resiliency Roundtable is a virtual, North American network dedicated to promoting youth wellbeing in the Jewish community. We bring together diverse stakeholders who care about young people (ages 12-26), including educators, engagement professionals, and clinicians, for learning and networking on important topics impacting youth wellbeing.
Please be in touch with Kate Greene, Director of the Resiliency Roundtable, with any questions or accommodation requests: kate.greene@jewishfederations.org. To access resources from previous conversations, go to the BeWell website: jewishtogether.org/bewell/resiliency-roundtable.
