Facing infertility can be a very lonely journey. The stress, tension, uncertainty and despondency coupled with a feeling of being isolated can be overwhelming.
Yesh Tikva, Hebrew for “There is Hope,” was established to end the silence and create a Jewish Community of support.
Yesh Tikva has two primary goals:
1) To provide free, professional psychosocial services and resources to those struggling with infertility.
2) To raise awareness and sensitivity about infertility throughout the Jewish community.
Yesh Tikva works to provide those thrown into the world of infertility with navigational tools to cope emotionally and practically along this journey. Resources include C3 Support Groups, Fertility Friends Peer Mentor Program, Care Packages of Hope, Support Line, as well as educational guides and social media support.
Additionally, Yesh Tikva increases awareness and support of infertility throughout the Jewish community by hosting community engagement events; Challah Bakes, InfertiliTEA, Packaging Hope and OneCandle events, as well as Yesh Tikva’s annual Infertility Awareness Shabbat.
Through these community engagement events, Yesh Tikva aims to increase the sensitivity of those who have not struggled to have children and to equip them with the resources to help and support those who may be suffering in silence.
