Center for Jewish Philanthropy’s Women IN Philanthropy hosted Floranthropy, an evening of floral arranging and community building, on May 10, 2023. Helping in the planning were co-chairs Stacie Brockman and Danielle Masserman, who designed the program to include a chance for women to socialize and learn from The Flower Garage owner and founder, Dani Christakos, how to make a floral masterpiece in honor of Mother’s Day.
The group of nearly 60 women enjoyed drinks, delicious food catered by Milk + Honey and took home their beautiful bouquets at the end of the evening. In addition to the bouquets they are now enjoying or giving to a loved one, the group made a total of 12 additional bouquets that were donated to the community of women survivors at Sojourner Center, a subsidiary organization of Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS).
The women also had a chance to learn about Dignity Grows, a program of the CJP’s Women IN Philanthropy that provides monthly personal and feminine products to women, girls and individuals assigned female at birth, who cannot afford them. Stacie Brockman shared her passion for the project and how at just $10 a tote, you can make a large impact for those in need. She generously offered the ladies a matching gift offer of up to $1500.
