Hey 👋  I’m Hal and USY changed my life forever. When I first was joining USY I was a very busy child stretched between sports, school and boy scouts among other activities and I never really thought that I could find one place to be that was like home.

That home for me was USY because I was able to get to know my peers that had a very similar lifestyle, we not only could talk about Jewish stuff but just life stuff. Usy is a family, a home. It’s where you go when you are stuck on something or just need support.

When I first joined USY I was having a really hard time getting everywhere and often showed up late or not at all because of my schedule but when I did make it, there was always fun at the local chapter but that’s just the beginning of how great of an experience USY is.

USY isn’t just a thing in our temple but it stretches the whole country and most of Canada. We not only have meetings to meet other chapters in Arizona, but there are also over night trips across the region (mostly to California), and I found friends that I will talk to for the rest of my life, people that I can never give up. I was drawn to USY because of not only how nice everybody was but because you get as much as you put into it.
