Israeli folk dance (Hebrew: ריקודי עם, rikudei ‘am, lit. “Folk dances”) is a form of dance usually performed to songs in Hebrew, or to other songs which have been popular in Israel, with dances choreographed for specific songs. Israeli dances include circle, partner and line dances.

Mizrachit: This dance is typically performed to Middle Eastern-inspired music, with lively hip movements and footwork. It’s one of the more dynamic Israeli dances and offers a great way to improve your rhythm and coordination.
Mayim: Another popular dance, Mayim is typically performed in a line or circle, with steps that involve clapping and rhythmic movements. The music is fast-paced and full of energy, and the dance is an excellent way to get your feet moving.
Zemer Atik / Nigun Atik: This folk dance has a slower tempo and involves graceful movements. Dancers often form a line or circle, and the dance is a reflection of the joy and celebration found in Israeli life.
