Women IN Philanthropy is getting ready for a day of connecting and giving back to our local community. On Sunday, February 26, hundreds of women will gather together for a light breakfast and program before heading out in groups to participate in mitzvah projects at organizations across the Valley.

Click here for details about the event.

The organizations and projects that will take place include:

Jewish Family & Children’s Service Volunteers will join in unpacking, sorting, date checking, organizing food and other items in their pantry located in central Phoenix.

Arizona Jews for Justice Volunteers will help make care kits for women experiencing homelessness in Phoenix at their office in the Scottsdale Airpark.

Bureau of Jewish Education Volunteers will help to rearrange books on shelves in the BJE Jewish Community Library located at the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus in Scottsdale. The BJE Library is home to thousands of Judaica books (children’s, history, Jewish text, Hebrew, Israel, and more), all managed by our dedicated volunteers. Your help in arranging, and thinning out of older titles will be of great benefit.

AZ Kosher Pantry Volunteers will be packing meals for distribution to those in need at their pantry located in central Phoenix.

Kivel Campus of Care Volunteers will be playing board games with our residents. This will be an interactive social event and opportunity to have meaningful interactions with the seniors living at Kivel Campus of Care.

The Florence and Harold Drucker Comfort Food Pantry Volunteers will be putting together mishloach manot baskets for Purim for seniors in the community at the Chabad of the East Valley.

Gesher Disability Resources Gesher is planning their Purim and Puppies Party in Scottsdale and are in need of volunteers to assist with set up and helping members to participate in this fun, outdoor, social event. There will be games, crafts, snacks and activities, as well as puppies from the Humane Society.

Shemesh Camp Help prep for Shemesh! Getting ready for this amazing camp takes months of prep and work to be successful and Shemesh can use your help. Join for cutting for crafts and making buttons for backpacks to help make the summer camp program successful. This is our NowGen project.

PJ Library Volunteers will help cut and glue crafts for PJ Library programming in an art room at the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus in Scottsdale.
