The society owns and operates the Cutler✡Plotkin Jewish Heritage Center, a historic synagogue and church that now serves the community as a museum, cultural center, and charming event venue.
AZJHS provides the following to our community:
- Museum Exhibitions on Jewish History and Art
- Forums and Educational Events with a Jewish Flavor
- Genealogy Programs at locations throughout the Valley
- Documentary Films and Book Discussions
Additionally AZJHS:
- Sponsors a unique community archive, with over 50,000 photographs, documents and artifacts pertaining to Jewish history in Arizona and the Southwest
- Recorded over 300 oral and video histories of local residents
- Offers guest speakers to local organizations and events
- Promotes a positive vision of Jewish identity through history education
- Offers a memorable rental event venue available for all types of functions, including weddings, B’nai Mitzvahs, corporate receptions, fundraisers, meetings, social events, and more
AZJHS has restored Phoenix’s original synagogue building into a Phoenix Point of Pride museum, cultural center, and event venue open to people of all faiths.
