All who love Israel are invited!
If you have never been to a Yom HaZikaron ceremony, we would be honored if you would join us this year.
Thank you to the Israeli Scouts, Shevet Shemesh, for taking the lead in organizing this important ceremony for our community.
What is Yom HaZikaron?
The Yom HaZikaron ceremony is an emotional experience, both somber and uplifting. It is a ceremony of song, poetry, reflections, and memory. It is a catharsis, where we come together to mourn, grieve and pay tribute to those who paid the ultimate price for the freedom and independence of the Jewish State. It is an opportunity to support one another as we remember our fallen loved ones: spouses, parents, siblings, children – soldiers in uniform, or victims of random terror attacks.
The Yom HaZikaron memorial day is followed one day later by Israeli Independence Day, Yom HaAtzma’ut, to always remind us that we owe our present and future to those who came before us.
