JServe – the Jewish Day of Service, brought together Valley teens for an afternoon of volunteering on the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus. Teens from BBYO, the B’nai Tzedek Youth Program, Beth El Congregation, Congregation Or Tzion, Hebrew High, Temple Beth Sholom of the East Valley, Temple Chai and Temple Solel engaged in projects to help several valley organizations.
Teens heard from the East Valley Jewish Community Center’s Lone Solider Program and wrote letters of thanks to Lone Soldiers serving in the IDF.
Teens then broke up into different groups to support the community Israel at 75 event and build a replica Kotel, support the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center’s Early Childhood Center Mickey Lit Reading Corner, create Shabbat bags for the PJ Library and prep materials for VOSJCC Shemesh Camp. The group finished their day doing a deep clean on the VOSJCC “Grandma Nancy” playground.
