Join the 27th Annual Greater Phoenix Jewish Film Festival virtually for an online screening of the Israeli comedy, Karaoke.

Meir and Tova’s world is turned upside-down when a rich, attractive bachelor moves into the penthouse of their Tel Aviv apartment building and befriends them. His magnetic personality greatly affects this middle-aged, Sephardic couple leading to their questioning their marriage and their individual identities and aspirations. Winner of four Israeli Academy Awards. Stars Sasson Gabay, Rita Shukrun, and Lior Ashkenazi.

Bonus Content: Talk by Nan Pollinger in Conversation with Cheryl Hammerman

Nancy Pollinger is a former Board Member of the Phoenix Bureau of Jewish Education. She has been facilitating Wise Aging groups and chairing Special Events for the BJE Center for Wise Aging over the past six years. She attributes her commitment to assisting seniors weekly to her deep appreciation of her Jewish education, faith, and participation in lifelong learning. Nancy brings a background in English Literature, Fundraising Consulting, and Interior Design to her work. She believes that building and sustaining a creative, academic and supportive environment in which seniors can express themselves and be heard is imperative for helping seniors to age with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to age joyfully.

Cheryl Hammerman is a longtime member of the GPJFF Board.
