Acrylics Painting Part 2

This 6-week acrylics painting class is for both beginner to intermediate level. Each of the sessions will be dedicated to a different subject matter with the main focus on landscape, still life and portrait. The step-by-step instruction will cover a variety of techniques as well as introducing students to the fundamentals of painting- composition, proportions, color mixing, texture and more. There will be an individual approach to each student’s level and needs. All materials provided. This is a follow up to the previous course offered in Fall 2023 and different examples will be used.  All students welcome, new or returning.  

Hristi Wilbur is a fine artist, maker, and educator living in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born in Bulgaria where in 1998 she graduated from The National Academy of Arts in Sofia, earning a Master’s degree in fine arts and a Minor in Art Education. Upon receiving a Green Card by lottery, she moved to New York City in 2001 where her artistic endeavors continued with mural projects and experimentation in acrylics. In 2006, Hristi moved to Phoenix, where she currently resides creating and teaching art. Over the last few years, she has been a part of numerous juried art shows and art fairs. Her work has been recognized at several plein air competitions. She won Best of Show in the Glendale Plein Air (2017 and 2022) and Third place in City of Peoria Plein Air competition in 2019. Her recent works include mixed media, acrylics, and drawings.
