Cooking with Bubbe

Join Bobbie Burt, Chocolatier with Six Sisters and Me for a 3 week series of Cooking with Bubbe.

Come cook with Bubbe and share stories and memories of making these traditional recipes!

Fridays from 11am-1pm on  April 5, 19. May 3.   All supplies will be included in the cost of the series.  Below is a description of each session.Class 1: Challah  Bobbie will share challah recipe, instructions and assist with kneading for a 6 braided challah recipe while students prepare the dough.  Bobbie will also provide braiding techniques and have participants practice techniques learned.  Participants will then take their dough to braid or make into a round loaf at home.Class 2: BabkaBobbie will provide babka recipe, demonstrate making the dough and explain different fillings possible with this recipe.  Participants will follow the recipe and create their own babka dough. The dough will go home with each person to bake.Class 3: HamantashenBobbie will prepare the dough and have a variety of fillings to be used as an example.  Bobbie will show the cutting and shaping while having participants participate in preparing their own Hamantashen to take home and finish baking.  Questions: jennifer.brauner@jfcsaz.org or (480) 670-8073.
