Professor Albert’s research and teaching focus on political campaigns and public policymaking, especially through the lens of political parties and in an era of increased partisan polarization.
He is currently working on two book projects: the first examines the impact of partisan polarization on policy research efforts by interest groups and think tanks. The second investigates the positive and negative aspects of “small donor democracy”. His work has been published in journals such as American Politics Research, Political Research Quarterly, Party Politics, and Interest Groups & Advocacy.
