Week 1:   How to be optimistic about aging“People who have a positive attitude about aging have been shown to be more social and outgoing as well as more likely to take care of themselves by exercising regularly and eating a healthy diet.” – everydayhealth.comWeek 2: How to cope and grieve when we lose a family member, friend, or pet“Older adults who are more exposed to the experiences of loss does not mean these losses become easier to accept. Studies have shown that the grief process does not change with age. Grief is grief, no matter your age.” – Intrepid USAWeek 3: How do we avoid loneliness and social isolation as we age?“Older adults are at an increased risk for loneliness and social isolation because they are more likely to face factors such as living alone, the loss of family or friends, chronic illnesses, and hearing loss.” -CDC.govWeek 4:  Reinventing yourself as you age“Retirement is on the horizon, and the family responsibilities are not as overbearing now as before. It’s time to rediscover yourself and live life the way you have always wanted to. Reinventing yourself after 60 years can be a productive, fruitful, and satiating experience.” – Step2Health
