2024 Yom Hashoah Commemoration

The East Valley JCC’s 2024 Yom Hashoah Commemoration will include:

‘Voices Silenced: Music from the Holocaust,” a lecture-recital featuring  piano duets written by composers who were killed in the Holocaust, presented by pianists Hannah Creviston and Baruch Meir

Featured speaker Björn Krondorfer, director of the Martin-Springer Institute (MSI) at Northern Arizona University, who found out as an adult that his father was a German soldier at a slave labor camp in Poland.

Candle-lighting ceremony 

The program starts at 6 p.m.; an opening reception with light refreshments starts at 5:30 p.m.
