Hebrew High is hosting a special training with ADL for all students looking to break down prejudice and create a world of peace and understanding. This program will challenge our own biases, empower teens to take a stand for all acts of discrimination and provide the tools for effective peace-activism and leadership.
THE DETAILS
Hebrew High, in partnership with the ADL, will be running a free event for all teens 9th -12th grade, who are looking for effective ways to respond to all hate, discrimination and biases in our schools and communities (beyond antisemitism). We recognize that many groups are victims to baseless hatred, and by having the right tools and support, we can make a world of a difference. **For students in our TASC FORCE, this program is required for your upstander certification.**
About the Program:
A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE Campaign was founded in Boston in 1985 as a grassroots initiative to increase public awareness of prejudice and discrimination and to mobilize residents to challenge all forms of bigotry in their homes, schools, workplaces and communities. Since its inception, A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute has expanded to 26 cities in the United States and 11 countries overseas and has provided anti-bias and diversity education training programs to more than 450,000 educators and impacted over 36 million students.
The mission of A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute is to empower people to recognize and address personal and institutional prejudice and discrimination, and to actively promote prejudice-free, inclusive schools and communities in which individual differences are respected and valued.
