Our foremothers Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Hannah were not the only ones to face infertility. In fact, a staggering 1 in 8 couples within our Jewish community struggle to get pregnant or sustain a pregnancy.
That’s why Fruitful, a Phoenix-based support group for those navigating the challenges of infertility, is making great efforts to meet couples in their pain and offer hope.
As we kick off 2023, we wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to our members for your trust and camaraderie. We also want to thank our voluntary board members for your efforts; our therapists for your expertise; and the Phoenix community for your ongoing support.
Over the last 12 months, we grew our membership base and hosted free virtual support meetings for our primary infertility, secondary infertility and pregnant after infertility groups. We delivered 96 care packages and welcomed six babies to our Fruitful family! Most of all, we were there for each other–learning, grieving and celebrating together.
We pray that 2023 brings an end to all suffering and that those who are facing infertility be blessed with healthy children. If you know someone trying to build a Jewish family and in need of emotional support, please encourage them to join us.
