Fruitful, a Phoenix-based organization supporting those navigating the challenges of infertility, is honored to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Belle Latchman Award. This esteemed award, presented in memory of Belle Latchman, recognizes outstanding contributions to the enhancement of the quality of life in the Greater Phoenix area by a local non-profit Jewish organization.

Belle Latchman dedicated herself to numerous causes in both the Jewish and general communities, emphasizing the importance of building positive ties between these communities. As the first woman president of the Jewish Federation, she left an indelible mark on the community. The award, established in her honor in 1983, seeks to celebrate and perpetuate Jewish values through innovative and constructive forms of service.

Fruitful has been selected for this honor due to its unwavering commitment to providing community, education, and emotional support to individuals and families facing fertility challenges. The organization’s mission is to assist those navigating the difficult journey of building their families by offering support through grief, healing, and empowerment.

“We are deeply humbled and honored to receive the Belle Latchman Award for 2024,” said Chani Levertov, founder of Fruitful. “By shining a light on Fruitful, the Phoenix Jewish community is shining a light on the 1 in 6 people who are affected by infertility in their lifetime. We so appreciate the opportunity to spread our mission and hopefully connect with more hopeful families.”

Fruitful’s inclusive approach welcomes anyone facing fertility challenges, including “unexplained” and “secondary” infertility, IUI and IVF, miscarriages, pregnancy loss, adoption, and more. The organization was founded by individuals who have personally experienced infertility and believe that no one should have to face this journey alone.

The award will be officially presented at the Center for Jewish Philanthropy’s “Lighting the Spark” breakfast on March 7, 2024. This event will bring together community members, supporters, and partners to celebrate Fruitful’s significant impact on the Greater Phoenix area.
