NowGen, a program of the Center for Jewish Philanthropy (CJP), is thrilled to announce the launch of our Gather Grants initiative. Designed to empower individuals aged 22-45 within the Jewish community, Gather Grants provide up to $180 in funding for you to create your own meaningful Jewish experiences.
At NowGen, we believe in the power of community building, connection strengthening, and the freedom to practice Judaism in your own way. Whether you’re interested in hosting a Jewish holiday celebration, organizing a cultural art night, or reconnecting with friends over shared experiences, Gather Grants are here to support your vision.
What Can You Do With a $180 NowGen Gather Grant?
The possibilities are endless! Here are just a few ideas to spark your creativity:
- Host a Jewish holiday celebration
- Cook and share a traditional Jewish or holiday dish with friends
- Organize an art night
- Reconnect with camp, Birthright, or school friends
- Facilitate a book club event or movie watch party
- Arrange an Israeli wine tasting, game night, or outdoor adventure
The choice is yours! NowGen Gather Grants are designed to support a wide range of experiences that reflect your unique interests and passions.
Who is Eligible to Receive a Gather Grant?
Any Jewish-identifying individual, couple, or friend group in the greater Phoenix area can apply to receive a Gather Grant. Whether you’re exploring your Jewish heritage for the first time or looking to deepen your connection to the community, NowGen is here to support you.
How Do I Apply?
The first-round application for Gather Grants closes on March 24th. Programs funded by Gather Grants must be hosted between April 1st and May 31st. We encourage you to submit your application early to maximize your chance of receiving funding.
After the application deadline, our team will review submissions based on criteria such as creativity, community impact, and alignment with NowGen’s mission. We will be in touch with applicants after applications close to discuss any follow-up questions and share our decisions.
