Living with Intent can be a game changer for those with Parkinson’s Disease. Physical Therapist Shannon Jameson and Speech-Language Pathologist Therese Uthke will describe the importance of their respective professions, highlight clinical updates from recent studies, and provide useful tips and strategies on how to move and speak with intent!

Therese Uthke is a speech-language pathologist at the Muhammad Ali Movement Disorder Center at Barrow Neurological Institute. She has worked specifically with people with Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders for the past 10 years. She has advanced training in Parkinson’s specific therapies including, SPEAK OUT!® and LSVT/LOUD®.

Shannon Jameson, PT, DPT is a physical therapist who has worked for the Muhammad Ali Movement Disorders Center for the past 8 years. She earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011 from A.T. Still University. She is trained in LSVT BIG, PWR!, and teaches a community-based weekly circuit training class for people with Parkinson’s Disease. She has a passion for working with people with Parkinson’s Disease and their Care Partners.
