In a world where uncertainty seems to be the only constant, finding ways to navigate life’s challenges with faith and resilience becomes ever more essential. The recent event hosted by Center for Jewish Philanthropy’s Business & Professionals titled “Navigating Uncertainty” brought together a diverse panel of experts who shared their insights and experiences on how to embrace uncertainty while holding onto one’s faith.

The event, held at the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus, drew an enthusiastic audience eager to gain wisdom from the esteemed panelists. The evening was filled with thought-provoking discussions, personal anecdotes, and a sense of community that resonated deeply with attendees.

The panelists included:

  • Michelle Kort, Realtor at Launch Real Estate
  • Simon Kreisberger, Co-Founder & COO at World of Illumination
  • Jessica Levin-Bozek, MA, LPC, NCC, Director of Adult Older Behavioral Health Services at Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Arizona
  • Ian Sachs, CFP®, CLU®, ChFC® , Owner at Risk Resource

In the theme of uncertainty, our original moderator for the evening had to leave town unexpectedly, and CJP’s CEO Rich Kasper graciously stepped in to moderator the panel. The discussion revolved around various themes, all centered on the intersection of faith and uncertainty. The panelists shared their own experiences of facing adversity, maintaining their faith, and offering practical tips for the audience to integrate into their lives. From personal anecdotes to professional insights, each panelist brought a unique perspective to the table.

One of the common thoughts of the evening was the power of community in times of uncertainty. All four panelsits emphasized that having a support system can provide strength and hope even during the most challenging moments. Jessica Levin-Bozek delved into the concept of mindfulness and its role in cultivating faith even in times of uncertainty and stress. She encouraged attendees to practice staying present, continuing to practice grounding techniques, and finding solace in the moment.

Ian Sachs offered a few touching personal stories about how his faith guided him, his family and his business through particularly trying periods in their life including the loss of his father and business partner and the struggle to start a family. His resilience and ability to find meaning in the midst of difficulty left a lasting impact on the audience.

Simon Kreisberger shared the importance of planning for the unknown and asking the right questions. Although he also emphasized that it is important to not let outside influences cloud your judgement to the point that you begin pushing yourself or your business out of the path of success.

Building and keeping personal relationships with the businesses and professionals that can help in times of crisis was one of the lessons Michelle Kort shared with the audience. She said that by building positive relationships with her network of professionals like inspectors, lenders and contractors, she can insure that her own clients are given the best service possible.

As the event concluded, attendees left with a renewed sense of hope and inspiration. The evening’s discussions had a profound effect on their outlook, empowering them to face the unknown with a newfound sense of faith and confidence. The event successfully fostered a sense of unity among the attendees, who found solace in sharing their own stories and challenges.

The event’s message of navigating uncertainty with faith resonated deeply with all who attended. It served as a reminder that even in times of doubt, there is strength to be found in faith, community, and the power of coming together to share our experiences.
